International Manufacturing-X Council
Smart & Connected Industries

The IMX Council (IMXC) will implement a federated, decentralized and collaborative data ecosystem for smart manufacturing.
Open, global and cross-industry, following FAIR Data Principles.
Initiative for the Digitalization of Supply Chains in Industry
In the coming years, the entire value chain will become increasingly integrated and supported by digitalization – from product, production, and process design to on-site customer service and the circular economy.
No country, initiative, or company can achieve this alone. The participating countries of the International Manufacturing-X Council (IMXC) will support a federated, decentralized, and collaborative data ecosystem for smart manufacturing to support greater resilience, sustainability, and competitiveness.

Enabling Global Cooperation: The IMX Council
The International Manufacturing-X Council (IMXC) is a joint effort by partners from academia, politics, and industry to drive the development of the IMX initiative. Open collaboration, inclusion, transparency, and equal treatment of all partners within this ecosystem are key. The IMXC will jointly set an agenda, decide on a roadmap for implementing specific aspects, and determine responsibilities.

Vision & Mission
Our Vision
The exchange of information between individuals, firms, and enterprises engaged in the manufacturing of goods or the provision of manufacturing related services can be accomplished for the mutual benefit of the participants in that exchange, without the loss of economic value to the provider of that information, resulting in the maximum economic value to society.
Our Mission
The International Manufacturing-X Council is a partnership for the exchange of experiences, information, projects, standards, and regulations.
It considers manufacturing-related information between participants, including across international borders, considering the laws, regulations, standards and norms in each country.
