IMXC Strengthens Manufacturing-X Collaboration with India

From May 15–22, 2026, the International Manufacturing-X Council (IMXC), together with partners from industry, Catena-X, Cofinity-X, SCI 4.0, and under the leadership of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWE), visited Bangalore, Pune, and Delhi to strengthen collaboration on Manufacturing-X initiatives between Germany and India.
India’s rapidly growing industrial and digital ecosystem makes the country a key partner for interoperable industrial data spaces and standardized digital manufacturing infrastructures.

A major focus of the trip was advancing India’s integration into the IMXC ecosystem. Meetings with CMTI and CII showed strong commitment to supporting IMXC activities and future collaboration in India. Public symposiums in Bangalore and Pune brought together leading industrial stakeholders to discuss Manufacturing-X, industrial standards, and the future of digital manufacturing.

The visit highlighted the growing importance of international cooperation, common standards, and trusted industrial data ecosystems for the future of global manufacturing.
