During the Smart Factory & Automation Technology Fair (SMATEC 2025) in Korea, a new cross-national project was announced – co-financed by MOTIE and KIAT – building on the MX-Port concept, Asset Administration Shell (AAS), and EDC.
The initiative, codenamed ๐๐ฆ๐ณ๐ค๐ถ๐ญ๐ฆ๐ด, will advance interoperable data exchange and strengthen industrial collaboration between Korea and Europe.ย As a recognition of these achievements, the International Manufacturing-X Council (IMXC) received an ๐๐ป๐ฑ๐๐๐๐ฟ๐ ๐ฐ.๐ฌ ๐๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฑ from the Korean Industry 4.0 Association, aligned with the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy (MOTIE), for its contributions to data ecosystems and data-driven manufacturing. We also warmly congratulate our long-term partners at the University of Tokyo for their award on Asian Data Spaces (๐๐ข๐๐๐ฆ).
Itโs encouraging to see both ๐ ๐ข๐ง๐๐ and ๐ ๐ฆ๐๐ง actively driving data and AI topics in Korea – a strong signal for the regionโs digital future.๐ค Collaboration across regions continues to shape a trusted, global manufacturing data ecosystem โ one step closer to a connected, interoperable industry.
