During the Smart Factory & Automation Technology Fair (SMATEC 2025) in Korea, a new cross-national project was announced – co-financed by MOTIE and KIAT – building on the MX-Port concept, Asset Administration Shell (AAS), and EDC.

The initiative, codenamed ๐˜๐˜ฆ๐˜ณ๐˜ค๐˜ถ๐˜ญ๐˜ฆ๐˜ด, will advance interoperable data exchange and strengthen industrial collaboration between Korea and Europe.ย As a recognition of these achievements, the International Manufacturing-X Council (IMXC) received an ๐—œ๐—ป๐—ฑ๐˜‚๐˜€๐˜๐—ฟ๐˜† ๐Ÿฐ.๐Ÿฌ ๐—”๐˜„๐—ฎ๐—ฟ๐—ฑ from the Korean Industry 4.0 Association, aligned with the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy (MOTIE), for its contributions to data ecosystems and data-driven manufacturing. We also warmly congratulate our long-term partners at the University of Tokyo for their award on Asian Data Spaces (๐—œ๐—ข๐—™๐——๐—ฆ).

Itโ€™s encouraging to see both ๐— ๐—ข๐—ง๐—œ๐—˜ and ๐— ๐—ฆ๐—œ๐—ง actively driving data and AI topics in Korea – a strong signal for the regionโ€™s digital future.๐Ÿค Collaboration across regions continues to shape a trusted, global manufacturing data ecosystem โ€” one step closer to a connected, interoperable industry.
