After a year of preparation, the country is now ready to actively engage in shaping interoperable, data-driven industrial ecosystems across Europe.
As part of Warsaw Industry Week – Fair for Innovative Industrial Solutions, the conference “MANUFACTURING-X – Next Stage of Industry 4.0” gathered experts from Siemens, VDMA, and the Polish Ministry of Development and Technology to discuss the future of industrial data spaces and the opportunities they bring for digital transformation and economic resilience.
Key contributions included presentations from Thomas Hahn (Siemens AG / VDMA) on the value of shared data ecosystems, Artur Nowocień (Siemens Poland) on the optimization of production through data use, and Dorota Borkowska (Ministry of Development and Technology) on Poland’s strategy for adopting interoperable data exchange. The conference also featured a strong academic perspective from Anna Timofiejczuk (Silesian University of Technology) on data collection and sharing models.
The event was organized by Andrzej Soldaty, Director of the Industry 4.0 Center at the Silesian University of Technology, and emphasized the close alignment between Poland’s national Industry 4.0 strategy and the European Manufacturing-X and IMXC initiatives.
Ernst Stückl-Pukall from the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action, highlighted that Engagement in initiatives such as Manufacturing-X and industrial data spaces is the fuel for building a strong, competitive economy.
