IMXC Ecosystem Recognized at the European Data Spaces Awards 2025 in Madrid

The International Manufacturing-X Council achieved an important milestone at the Data Spaces Symposium 2026 in Madrid.
The initiative SM4RTENANCE, which brings together several key IMXC partners, was awarded Second Prize at the European Data Spaces Awards 2025 – a highly appreciated and unexpected recognition of the joint work within the ecosystem.

During the award ceremony, IMXC was explicitly mentioned, highlighting the relevance of its international network and its contribution to the practical implementation of industrial data spaces.

The conference program itself strongly reflected the growing role of the IMX Council. The opening sessions focused on IMXC and its mission, followed by a dedicated invitation to the data space community to actively contribute to the IMXC Showcase.

A significant outcome of the symposium was the advancement of international collaboration:
With Israel and Poland, two additional countries have committed to contributing industrial companies to the IMXC Showcase. These contributions will be realized at Hannover Messe 2026, marking an important step toward global implementation and visibility.

IMXC was represented throughout the conference by Thomas Hahn, Dominik Rohrmus, Mark Dietrich and Oscar Lazaro, who contributed insights from industrial practice and international cooperation.

Conclusion
The symposium enabled valuable exchange with key stakeholders in the data space ecosystem and successfully advanced the preparation of the IMXC Showcase at Hannover Messe 2026. The recognition in Madrid represents a strong strategic and operational success for the IMXC community.

IMXC congratulates all award winners and finalists and thanks all partners involved in shaping the future of industrial data spaces.
